The fact that the other Weinstein captioneer just deleted his/her caption, which was also good, is exemplary behaviour. Well done. Wish more people did that. It would save a lot of unnecessary ill-feeling. 😊
Whilst I agree that it is exemplary behaviour, I also think that there are plenty of occasions where the captions are sufficiently different that it is fine to stand your ground. There are times when things are cut and pasted in under 10 seconds leaving people with nowhere to go. Each case on it's merits I say.
On a couple of previous comments I've suggested that all captions received in the first minute should be jumbled up in the order received and only displayed after a minute with the same time of 08:01:00/12:01:00/20:01:00 (this would cut out the fastest finger/internet connection speed). Then voters can choose the best worded captions on the same theme, from the 'copy and pasted' to the normally posted captions without the worry of who was 'first'. Later posted captions with the same theme but with an added twist should contain a nod comment to the original.
