The joke was supposed to be that she was the epitome of heavy metal. Like when you thought of heavy metal you'd automatically thing of her. Like if you looked up heavy metal in Wikipedia you'd see her face. I guess it wasn't that good of a joke anyway. It's hard to make those subtle distinctions in writing (er, typing, uh, keyboarding).
