Great caption. Could reword slightly to make it "snappier":"After a nursery school bus crashed into Piranha-infested water, identifying remains was tricky."or"Identifying remains was tricky after a nursery school... --Chris Beach
Here, have a Vivvy Super Vote, you've earned it. I've just bobbed into Tesco for a few provisions and absolutely lost it at the sight of the rotisserie. Cracked up, well done! I can't shop there again for a few weeks tho. --Vivvy En
Even if it is an old joke, (I don't think I've heard it) if it fits neatly into a caption then I don't see the harm....better to be original but not a big sin really! (not my caption BTY)
Surprise surprise! Yet again the top captions are submitted within seconds of the photo going live. For those of you who didnt know you can get a sneek peak at the upcoming images by clicking on the "Next Photo" in blue link at the top of the Photos page. And yet more surprises, the same people who keep winning have "liked" most of them. Some of us work hard on the captions, when is this link going to be scrapped?
Thanks for your encouraging comments...I have hardly had a vote the last couple of weeks and am not that often around when battle commences on the captions. This time yesterday the same commentator was positively commenting on the quality of captions delivered at 8.01. If you don't like the Caption that's fine...I have asked for pictures to come in blind to make things more interesting but did it in the discussion forum and not on someones caption. The balance of opinion was against me. For those who didn't know try the forums for discussing logistics.
Thanks I will check out the forum. Author I never said I disliked the caption simply I was making an observation and I apologise as no offence was intended at you or your caption personally but you obviously agree with the notion that captioneers should not get a heads up on the images. Love this site but frustrated at finding the "Next Photo" link.
No offence taken ...Try the forums maybe there is a halfway house arrangement to have one or two blind days a week with surprise pictures to truly test agility.
You're absolutely right but mouse didn't rhyme with ice so it is being offered as an example and representative of the genre in the plural form for the sake of the rhyme. Forgive me for I have sinned
Old joke, not original at all.
