What’s the nod system? It’s been 10yrs since I was a regular here and everything seems more complicated.
I haven’t read any comments so didn’t see your comment but I remember posting almost this exact same caption on a different photo 11 years ago in case you want to know the inspiration.
Can edit to say “nod to comment” if it avoids conflict. I’m here to just have a giggle and fun. Don’t want to have a situation where trying to do something to make me happy either makes someone else sad or just gives me anxiety that I’m annoying someone stepping on toes.

There is no formal nod system, although sometimes people will comment something like “nod to 8:03” if they want to acknowledge an earlier caption that’s conceptually similar to their own.
Kathleen - it’s inappropriate to use the suggested edits feature like this. For starters, when making a suggested edit, you should submit an improved caption - not a lengthy piece of feedback.
Secondly, it’s unfair to ask someone to give a nod to a comment, as not everyone reads the comments, and comments are not the right place to add captions.

Ah that explains some of it at least.
I know I can stay anonymous here at least.
I was more confused than annoyed but yeah, there’s been a lot change while I’ve worked some of it out some of the others I just don’t have the time or energy to play any games, just turn up, read, laugh, vote, post my own and come back later.
Been having a good time the last few weeks since coming back and I’ve still got something given the voting numbers. I’m at a loss on finder points and comment quotas but it doesn’t really bother me.
It’s one of those things. I didn’t see the comment but after finding it and the timestamp the two were close enough for it to be a fair thought. As mentioned a caption I posted 11yrs ago was almost identical as this so it’s not an unlikely post, the comment may explain why it wasn’t already up there.
Either way, everything is fine on my part and as soon as voting ends I can chat more in the forum.
