Do you think the Tortoise and the Hare ever re-raced?
Maybe they did, and the Tortoise is reliving a past victory rather than accepting the new one where the Hare won as was expected?
The organisers seem to be very accepting in regards that a Tortoise and a Hare were racing each other and nobody was up in arms about one having a potential advantage over another.
Maybe the organisers wanted it that way so that they could rig the betting system? 🤔
I wouldn't say deep thought on my part, more of an off shoot or tangent inspired by your caption. I do like the way you put it.
I also like when there's ideas like this that there's potential to play around with.
I wouldn't want to tread on anyone's toes and if I do so, please let me know...as unfortunately I do have the tendency to get carried away sometimes 😄

Not exactly the irony I was aiming for, Glyn, but I'm glad the caption inspired some deep thought
