I always thought that's why political correctness was invented - to prevent ticking time bomb spree killers from going postal. With all the school and workplace shootings that have gone or are still going on, I'd say it must be working.
With all the school shootings and no recent post office shootings, maybe we need to replace “going postal” with a new term, such as “going to school”.
