Follow that template next time, Anon: My flatmate isn't cut out for *insert action*. It's sure to get votes, unlike my poke at the well worn, which clearly flopped
Perhaps I should have gone with: I'm not cut out for repetitions.

I'm amazed you haven't had any votes for this caption but taking the piss out of old material doesn't usually go down well. You are probably right about posting ''I'm not cut out for repetitions'' instead. Very funny.

Thanks, Dave. I was trying to mix it up as I knew the inevitable was coming. Weird how so many people prefer regurgitation to originality, but such is life. And yes, I wish I'd thought of the "repetition" angle earlier Anyway, I appreciate your comment.

I find this caption offensive. Why is it fun to torment someone who has Asperger's syndrome??

Nothing is more fun than tormenting people with OCD. [James Lennox]
Ummm ... it's not. That was the joke (or at least it was meant to be). It never entered my mind that anybody could think I was suggesting it is actually fun.
I've edited it to try not to cause offence. Let me know if you still find it offensive and I'll erase it.

Many good jokes are offensive if taken literally.
I’m pretty sure I'm autistic (certainly all the tests I've ever taken indicate that I am) and I'm not offended by this joke. Because it's a joke, not a literal statement.
Obviously we have to consider on a case-by-case basis, but I don't want people treading on eggshells to avoid offence here on caption.me.

Thanks Chris. My wife firmly believes I have Asperger's, and I can't disagree that I have many autistic traits. As such I honestly didn't think twice when writing this caption, but I do come from a culture that generally doesn't take itself too seriously. Anyway, the caption looks like a dog, so I'm more than happy to erase it if it still offends anyone

Out of interest, have you taken the AQ (Autism Spectrum Quotient) test developed by Simon Baron-Cohen? I scored 37/50 ("significant autistic traits")

Oh God, no I haven't Chris, but I'm going to have to now Result pending...
33/50 (the low end of significant autistic traits)
I found that a lot of the social interaction questions referred to things that I have learnt how to become capable of, rather than come naturally. But that was an interesting test.
