Was wondering why women seem more upset about people posting anonymously. Could it be that almost every woman I know has been lied to and cheated on by men?

Think of the anon feature as a great bonus here. It allows people to test out different shades and facets of their humour. Yes, you too, ladies. Nuances people might have been shy about having connected to their "image" here. It's a freeing feature, not tool of "attack" as it's being branded.

SnapDragon D if your above comment was referencing the comment before - it's not being branded as a tool of attack although that may be your interpretation of it. I was simply parodying anon's comment by using the username community and playing around with language to see what people make of it because I think it's all down to context.

Btw, it's a bit of a stretch saying that women get upset about people posting anonymously because they've been lied to and cheated on. Women lie and cheat on men, women lie and cheat on women, men lie and cheat on men, non-binary lie and cheat on non binary etc. I've been lied to and cheated on before, it doesn't bother me.

It wasn't in response to your comment, Glyn. It was just a thought regarding the comments of the past day or so. Since it was mostly women who were complaining about the "sudden rash of anonymous posts," like it was something nefarious. I was merely trying to encourage them to try an anonymous post to expand their repertoire of comedic flavors.

Sure cheating is a two way street, but perhaps women are more hurt by it? I don't know, and yes I'm fully aware that any distinction between men and women is now called "sexist," even though science proves we're different in many ways.

Look, all I want to do is enjoy jokes here, reading them, writing them, responding to them. Nothing more, nothing less. If people are going to start complaining about some jokes but not others, which might be far more offensive to some, what is the point? And why am I the bad guy for standing up for free speech in joke writing?

I've seen plenty of offensive jokes here, but have yet to see a dude complain.
